How I Use AI

I want to be very clear about how I use AI for this website. I will write a post on my approach to it generally soon, but in the meantime:

• I use AI as a pairing partner, we talk through technical problems and approaches and come to a solution.
• Sometimes I will use the AI to implement the solution, though I review every change; sometimes I will implement the solution myself — I find that AI is good at smaller changes but when they get larger it struggles and it’s often quicker and easier for me to do it myself.
• I do not use AI to write any posts but I will often use it to create the summaries.
• I will use AI tools, such as Grammarly, to help evaluate my writing styles and may make changes based on this.
• I use en and em dashes, so don’t assume their use means an AI wrote what you’re reading.

AI is useful, when used correctly, to augment my work. I am finding ways to use it so that I maintain my enjoyment of creating software whilst improving the quality and speed of my output.
